Tier List Beta

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

Tier List Beta (“we”, “the app”) is committed to your privacy. This policy describes how we handle information when you use the Tier List Beta app and its iMessage extension.

No Account, No Personal Information

The app has no sign-up, no login, and no user accounts. We never ask for and never collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location. We do not use analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs, and we do not transmit device identifiers.

Content Published to the Community Gallery

When you complete a tier list and share its image, the app also publishes that tier list to a community gallery that is publicly visible to everyone using the app.

What gets published:

Nothing identifying you is attached to a published tier list — no name, no account, no device identifier. Published entries are anonymous, but they are public. Please do not treat the gallery as private.

Community Category Suggestions

If you suggest a category, the text you type is sent to our servers and shown publicly to other users so they can vote on it. An automated filter screens submissions for inappropriate content, but please do not include personal information in a suggestion.

When you vote on a suggestion, only the running vote totals are updated on the server. The record of which way you voted stays on your device.

Where This Data Is Stored

Published tier lists, their thumbnails, and category suggestions are stored using Supabase, our hosting provider. They process this data on our behalf.

Data Stored on Your Device

The app stores your in-progress game state, your preferences, and your own voting history locally on your device. This information stays on your device and is not sent to our servers.

Images Loaded From Third Parties

Tier list templates display images hosted by third parties, including Wikimedia, Cloudinary, and other content sources. When the app loads one of these images, that host receives the request and your device’s IP address, as happens with any web request. We do not share any other information with them.

iMessage and Apple

When you use the iMessage extension, tier list content is sent through Apple’s iMessage service. Apple’s privacy policy and terms apply to that data. We do not receive or store the contents of your messages.

Retention and Removal

Published tier lists and category suggestions remain in the gallery until they are removed. Because entries are anonymous, we cannot look one up by user — but if you want something taken down, describe it via the Support page and we will remove it.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
