Friends With Words stores limited information needed to run the game, save progress, and support leaderboard features.
Information the app stores
- Your chosen display name
- Your saved game progress on device
- Your local game statistics on device
- Your leaderboard submissions, including score, seed, and display name
How the information is used
- To save and resume your game
- To show your personal stats
- To submit and display leaderboard scores
- To keep game sessions associated with your app installation
Third-party services
Leaderboard features use Supabase as a backend service for storing and retrieving score submissions.
Tracking
Friends With Words does not use third-party advertising or tracking.
Data retention
On-device saved data remains on your device unless you delete the app or clear the relevant data. Leaderboard submissions may remain stored on the backend to support public rankings.
Your choices
You can manage your privacy choices in the app and on this site: delete your account, or keep your scores off the leaderboard.
